Thursday and Sharon Ross Roeser of Dallas joined anglers teddington us. He is a professor at the university anglers teddington where dw work. We have for the day, drove to Santa Monica and Venice Beach. It took us about spoiled with delicious dinner!
Then we went to Venice Beach aka "Muscle Beach". It's the beach that you always see the movies where the guys lifting weights and muscles flex and girls in skimpy tiny bikinis walking around! It was about to see something with all the funny characters who hang out there! Durban's Marine Parade only 100 times worse!
This is just after 3pm on a highway with six lanes on each side! The N1 is not nothing against this. Here we are going to Ojai - pronounced "Ohai". In the afternoon we drove to Ojai - a beautiful little town so 2 hours drive from LA. It just has a population of 8,000 people, and is as "au natural" and "organic" there. No chain stores and restaurants do not. Oprah recently apparently on TV said it was the "most Desirable place to stay." The village has a sense that time has stood still - amazing! Ross's daughter and family live in Ojai and we enjoyed them.
Ojai is in a valley between the mountains. There is just around orange trees, and flower anglers teddington scents are so nice! Was very nice to little in a peaceful quiet place to be after the two big cities that we have seen.
Friday night we went to the marina in Ventura went with the family where we delicious fish and chips eaten. anglers teddington The people anglers teddington were so hospitable anglers teddington that they never allowed for anything to pay! Saturday we were invited to an audiologist Santa Barbara for the day to visit them. It was an awesome place high up in the mountains overlooking Santa Barbara and the ocean. There we have for the first time a real "barbeque" experience. A typical Californian barbecue is "tri-tip" (a cut beef) with beans, salsa, garlic bread and salad.
